About the members

To become a full member of the SAACB, members must be accredited by an accreditation body who is a signatory to the International Accreditation Forum (the IAF). Associate membership is granted to those certification bodies actively pursuing accreditation or any related organization who subscribes to the aims and objectives of the Association and who has an interest in the SAACB’s main objectives.

  • Professional service.
  • Widely recognized certification.
  • Value for money.
  • Local commitment to regional economies.
  • No conflict of interest by conducting consultancy and certification.

Members shall accept the certification systems and registrations of other accredited members in accordance with the requirements of the International Accreditation Forum (IAF).

  • All members have systems in place to address consistency.
  • All members have systems based on IAF and Accreditation Body endorsed practices.
  • Some member’s systems are strongly centralized others are decentralized.
